Katie Salidas: Let's Read Something from the Sale Shelf!

Last week I tried something new. I did a reading from the first chapter of A Weapon of Magical Destruction. It was a fun, impromptu live video, and even though it only ran for 20 minutes, it got a really nice response so I think I am going to try and continue doing these weekly videos. And that was probably the most exciting moment of the week. Since then it is has been a non-stop preparation for my three kids to start distance learning. Three kids. Three computers. 12 teachers between them. Each of those kids needed to have new google classroom access, canvas, emails, etc... All kinds of fun stuff setup. Now, I am not complaining. I am perfectly happy to have the kids home safe during this time. But it was a week of frustrations to get through everything, meet with all the teachers, and set up all the computers and workstations. Next week we start actual distance learning. #SendWine.

For all the parents out there dealing with this stress right now, I send hugs of solidarity. We will all get through this.
