An #Interview with, Georgina Hannan

K.S.  Hello and welcome to the blog. I am very excited to have you here. Why don’t we start off with a small introduction? Tell us a little about yourself. 

G.H. Hey Katie! I am so pleased to be here so thank you for having me. A little introduction to me… I am from England, I’m an IT Professional as well as a writer. I have a cat who is fluffy and feisty but I love her. I love writing so much and would be lost without it!

K.S.  Any interesting writing quirks or stories you would like to share with my readers?

G.H. Ooooh I’m not sure I have any! That makes me sound so boring! haha

K.S.  When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? What sparked the desire to pen your first novel?

G.H. I think it was when we were asked in school to write a short story as an assignment. I really enjoyed the activity and my story got fantastic marks. From then on I had these story ideas and I just got writing. Wrote my first one when I was 14, took a break after that to focus on school and college then picked it up again.

K.S.  What genre do you write?

G.H. Mostly, Young Adult, Paranormal but also Romance and even trying my hand at Romantic Comedy!

K.S.  What would you say has inspired you most in your writing career? Or, who is your favorite author and why?

G.H. Probably Lauren Kate and her Fallen series or Karen Mahoney and her Iron Witch series. I loved these books so much I’d love to create a story/series that pulls people in that much and makes them think.

K.S.  What does your family think of your writing?

G.H. At first they didn’t think I could do it. I’ve never been very good at English until I started writing and editing! Now they think it’s fantastic and are really proud and supportive of me.

K.S.  What was one of the most surprising things you learned while creating your book/s?

G.H. That I didn’t have to plan every little detail. I can do a light touch plan and the story will just flow from me as I type!

K.S.  What inspires you?

G.H. Wow a big question! Everything does but mostly it’s music! I have come up with a lot of my ides from either people I know or songs I’ve listened to.

K.S.  Can you tell us a little about any of your novels?

G.H. Of course! I have 4 novels out. 3 are part of my Cursed Trilogy and the 4^th is a stand-alone new one. Below are the blurbs for all 4.
