Up to now, I have been wary of working with a partner. As an author, we all develop our own voice, our own way of doing things, our own system. Also, being a little OCD means I have the tendency to need to control every aspect of my writing (which is why self-publishing has worked well for me.). So, needless to say, I'd never considered working in tandem with another.
That was until Willsin approached me about doing some quickies. The idea was simple, both of us have numerous stories stacked up on our computers. For what ever reason, we started but never finished them. We would swap back and forth the ones we have on hand and the other would help complete them.
It worked quite beautifully. He started the ball rolling with Patience. When I read his first draft, I was in love. I knew exactly where to tweak, where to add, and enhance to compliment his wonderful vision of Donnelle, the cougar, and Edan, the cocky young stud in need of some training.

Then came Slowpoke. Again, we complimented each other's vision. Bazz and Tamsin were so much fun to write. Because of our nationalities we were really able to play on own backgrounds (Willsin being an Aussie, and myself being a former Southerner). Tamsin's southern-isms and Barry's Aussie-isms came straight out of our own mouths. More than once, when Barry would say something like "Oh, yeah, been flat out
like a lizard drinkin’. I’m just here to check your bush." Both Tamsin, and I would say "Excuse me?" It was like having a fun conversation with each other, that is how smoothly that story came out.

And now that we are getting ready for our third release (one that we plan to make into a small series) we've really hit our stride. Any worries I might have had in the past about co-authoring are gone. What really makes it work though is the fact that we have known each other for a very long time, we've beta read for each other,we have critiqued each other, we have gone to each other for advice, etc... Without that background, I don't think this partnership would work as well as it is! But for now, it's magic!
We cannot wait to release the next novelette:
Submission Therapy (Coming in November).
(Unofficial blurb)
Billionaire CEO of Blakely Enterprises, Natasha runs her company with an eagle eye for every detail. She’s an obsessive, compulsive, micromanaging, and hard-ass consumed by the need to control every aspect of her life and her business.
But, underneath that seemingly strong exterior, Natasha is a time bomb of anxiety and sexual addiction waiting to explode; a secret only her therapist, Dr. Derek Benson knows.
He suggests a radical form of treatment – Submission Therapy – claiming that it’s her only hope.
Skeptical but intrigued, Natasha agrees to attend one session. What she finds in this Radical Therapy is an erotically-charged environment that will forgive none of her habitual bad behavior. And a steely-eyed man who seems to read her every desire - even the ones she won’t admit to herself.
Will Natasha learn what it means to submit? Or will she allow her brittle pride to rob her of what she truly needs?
